The younger, crazier half of the legendary Coffin Brothers is Parker. He's a really cool cat, and obviously he rips. But he's funny as hell, too. Check out this video of him working over some funky chunky waves. Near the end of it there's even a cameo by the Sex Wax Team Manager, Super Dave Letinsky.

I'm not sure WHERE the Surf Wax Museum is located, but I love the the pics. They have so many classic names from the 80's and beyond. Lots of long-forgotten brands that disppeared as quickly as they appeared. Love all the names people came up with. Good times.

Conner Coffin

Everybody who knows anything about surfing has at least heard of Sex wax surfer Conner Coffin. He's an "old soul", even though he still only 16 or 17 years old. His ads are everywhere in the magazines and online because Hurley and Red Bull do a great job sending him everywhere with epic waves. He absolutely destroys every wave with his man-sized hacks when he's not getting barreled. Watching him surf his homebreak of Rincon is a treat. He's definitely a future star on the WQS and most likely the WCT. Above everything though, he's just a really good dude.

Nike 6 Point Oh Lowers Pro

Andrew Doheny killed it in the finals on saturday. In great waves, he beat out fellow Sex Wax guy, Nat Young to win the big Nike 6.0 contest at Trestles. Compared to rest of the dudes in the finals, he only rode a few waves. But he made em count. And I'm pretty sure he was riding one of his own shapes. He won a bunch of dough, a large wall-size check, a lead in the Pro Juior Series, and some hugs from adoring fans. All around, kinda of a rad day for that guy.

Robbins Wins ASP LQS 3-Star - Costa Rica Pro

Sexwax Team Rider Cole Robbins wins ASP Longboard Event at Costa Rica's famous lefthand pointbreak of Bocca Barranca. Cole cinched the victory with a 9 point ride in the final seconds of the final. In the high scoring final, Cole took down ASP North American Longboard Champion Taylor Jensen, Hawaiian Kai Sallas and former ASP Longboard World Champion Josh Constable.

Sexy Skulls

Lots of collab offers come and go around here. Seldom do they actually see the light of day. Last year, 2 Carpinteria local surfer/artists worked on a rad little project with Mr Zog. Benjamin and Sean Anderson created some skulls made from Sex Wax. It takes something like 43 bars per skull. I've got a pink one sitting on my nightstand. If you're in need of some great-smelling trippy skulls, contact those guys. I'm sure they'd love to pour you one.

Today is dedicated to Huell Mother F-ing Howser. He is simply an amazing human being. You know what I'm talkin about if you've ever been cruizin through the channels and realized you've been glued to his mezmerizing little show for over 30 minutes. It may be a California thing since his show is aired on CA PBS. He drives around to any and all marginally interesting attractions in the golden state and asks a million silly questions about everthing under the sun. It's great stuff.

We're about to upgrade our computers, and it's about time. We've been working with 1997 technology for way too long. Buried deep in Sex Wax World Headquarters' computers is tons of long forgotten stuff. Things like old ad ideas, vintage logos, and protoype products are all stashed away. Here's a great old pic I found of Zog on a log at Hammond's in 1965. Who knows what else is in the dark, dusty corners of our trusty old Dells?

Love letter

Some people just don't get it. Sex Wax is just a funny, attention grabbing name. Zog's artist buddy, Hank Pitcher, came up with the name and artwork. It was a cool sounding name that had two, 3 letter words that both end in "x". Plus it made fun of the advertizing world's motto that sex sells. 38 years after we sold our first bar, Sex Wax is still making old grannies nervous and corrupting 12-year-old minds. Onward and upward.
